Yesterday, I was interviewed for the Philly Soccer Show by Greg and Eli. They asked me about everything from my upbringing to how I got started with LBF and many more things. Here's an excerpt of their write-up below:
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) –- There is a local company combining fashion with the world of soccer, and on this show we have the man behind it all. Ebun Olaloye, a Temple University graduate and founder of Live Breathe Futbol (http://livebreathefutbol.com), is the guest on the KYW Philly Soccer Show. He talks about his early days growing up in Nigeria, where he first became interested in art.
While in college he discovered a whole culture of soccer fans who played games during the week and watched matches on the weekends. He took his love of the sport and love of design and Live Breathe Futbol was born.
Olaloye talks with KYW’s Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch about the company’s early beginnings and where he sees his clothing line going in the future.
Then, Eli and Greg look at the Philadelphia Union as they head into the final stretch of the season. The team earned a point against last-place DC United at RFK Stadium last weekend, and have a match at the foundering Montreal Impact this Saturday.
It’s looking more and more as if the team’s playoff fate will be decided during the last game of the season, at home against Sporting KC on October 26th.
