One day, while in an architecture review, Ebun drew the words "Live Breathe Futbol" on a shirt and got two dozen printed up. He sold them to his mates at pick up soccer. The brand hadn't been born, but the foundation was laid.
21st birthday

...then on his 21st birthday he started LBF for real. To celebrate, he made twenty-one XXI shirts and put them on twitter. They sold out in two hours and the brand was born.

union design contest

In March 2011 the Philadelphia Union held a t-shirt design contest and Ebun, against all odds, won with his “Original Doop Design” which helped propel LBF into the consciousness of Philadelphia soccer fans.
ebun x dom meet

Although they were good friends throughout college and played soccer together during those four years, Dom and Ebun sat down to partner up on LBF in May 2011. The partnership strengthened LBF and the company has forged ahead since then.

lbf meets golazo

In May 2011 we were invited to Seattle by Richard Tait, co-founder of Golazo ( and he has since become a great friend and mentor. Ebun even spent 9 months in Seattle as an in-house designer for Golazo.

While riding his bike one day, Ebun discovered a nice, little shop called Second Street Soccer nestled in the heart of Old City. He approached the owner, John Shipley, about stocking LBF and John quickly agreed. Unfortunately, John passed away early in 2013. May he rest in peace.

Wildly popular Youtuber, Joltter, approached LBF to collaborate on a video. The product was a one minute clip that has been viewed over 80K times. The video introduced LBF to Joltter’s dedicated following and even spurned a series of fan-submitted “My LBF Life” videos. My LBF Life video: Here

lbf is forever

We launched our first full collection on November 25, 2012. This was a major step in the growth and expansion of the brand. The collection included a scarf, crewneck sweater, hoody, t-shirt, and track jacket. Keith Hickery (KCKRS) even went as far as saying the collection “offers American fans a range of depth I can’t remember any American soccer line matching previously.”

rebels summer collection
We launched our second collection on May 31st 2013 and also held our first launch party. The collection was inspired by the Rebels of the game (George Best, Eric Cantona, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Mario Balotelli) and featured 9 pieces.
We also added a third partner to the crew, Bill Lynch (L)

launch party

To celebrate the launch of the Rebels collection we threw a party at Gallery ML in Old City. Over 200 people came out to support. We had a DJ, freestylers, FIFA, and foosball.

Amobi shows LBF shirt on National TV

On September 11, Brazilian soccer star Alexandre Pato, posted a photo of himself on the plane back to Brazil wearing our George Best shirt. It is, so far, the most exciting thing that has happened for us.
