Mexico is in the midst of one of their darker periods footy-wise. Facing the prospect of missing out on World Cup qualification, they took on Panama over the weekend needing a win to keep their hopes alive. After seeing star striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez miss from the spot, and then conceding a late equalizer after Oribe Peralta's 40th minute goal, it looked as if Mexico's woes were getting even woe-ier. Enter Raul Jimenez. Four minutes after Panama's devastating equalizer, Jimenez received a pass from Fernando Arce with a fairly poor touch just inside the area, popping it straight into the air. What followed next was a piece of pure brilliance to rescue his floundering side and keep Mexican World Cup dreams within reach.
