Blending Football & Art: Angelo Trofa

Angelo has long been a football fan, specifically of the Nerazzurri. When he discovered his passion and talent for graphic design and illustration, combining the two came naturally. Needless to say, the results of his most recent sketches are quite impressive. Elegantly capturing the style of the era in the way that only a pencil sketch can.

With a majority of fixtures running through the winter, there is a need to stay warm while still displaying pride for your team. A hoodie under a jersey is the most stylish way to accomplish both objectives. Wearing a jacket does not display the same passion as a kit, even if it has a logo on it. Angelo perfectly captures the famous heather grey hoodie.

Capturing the aura that surrounded legendary striker, Ian Wright with the iconic red and white combination of The Arsenal. The script on the tail makes this an instant classic. There were sure to be many of these #8 kits floating around Highbury and N5.

The '95 Arsenal away kit with its striking lightning bolt design, slots in perfectly with today's trend of fashion, streetwear, and football kits. This kit could certainly be seen to embody the "hard knocks" style the 90's is known for. New signings of David Platt and Dennis Bergkamp proved to be worth every penny of their large transfer fees in a season which Arsenal finished in 5th place.

It does not get any more "The Arsenal" than the classic yellow kit. In Le Profeseur's first full season as the Arsenal boss, the Gunners did the domestic double winning the league and FA Cup. Angelo perfectly captures the blue contrast and retro Jordan era Nike tags.

With Angelo's first sketches of 2017 striking the upper 90, we cannot wait to see what else he puts from pen(cil) to paper during the rest of the year!
